Sometimes, our animals seem to tell us so much without saying a word.
I’ve felt connected to animals for as long as I can remember.
Even when I was very young, I sensed that animals were somehow communicating with me. I could pick up on their worries and their joys, and sometimes I simply seemed to know what was on their minds.
I didn’t really know what to make of it.
I couldn’t explain what I was experiencing, and I didn’t know anyone else who experienced anything similar. So, for much of my life, I simply put it down to having a vivid imagination.
My first special connection
When I was little, I had a guinea pig called Mishaa.
We had an incredible bond.
Whenever I was coming home from school, Mishaa would start squeaking a few moments before I rang the doorbell. After a while, my mum recognised the pattern. When she heard Mishaa squeaking, she knew I must be coming home, and would press the door buzzer without even asking who was there.
When Mishaa was expecting babies, I also had a dream about how many babies she was going to have.
The moment I woke up the next morning, I ran excitedly to see them.
Similar things happened with other animals in my life too. At the time, though, I didn’t think much of it. It was simply something that seemed to happen.
And then… life happened.
As I grew older, I found myself talking to animals only occasionally.
Sometimes they would approach me when I was out and about. A dog might stop in my path, or an animal might simply decide to walk alongside me for a while.
One encounter in particular still makes me smile.
I was living in England at the time and walking home from work through a grassy area in Chislehurst when I noticed a small, stocky dog hopping along beside me.
He had a beautiful grey coat — and he was very, very chatty.
He seemed to be telling me all about his plans:
“We’re going to the park! Where are you going? Are you going to the park with us? I’m really looking forward to it!”
Then came a few more details about his owner, the park and possibly stopping at Costa Coffee afterwards.
I was completely caught off guard, so I asked him where his owner was.
He told me that his owner was coming behind him and was rather selective about the people he liked. He also seemed very concerned that I should know he wasn’t supposed to go into the toilet because that would be rude.
A moment later, he hopped to the side, marked the grass right in front of me and added:
“Pardon.”
By then, his owner had caught up with us.
He kindly introduced himself and explained that this was his dog, that he was very sociable, and that they were indeed on their way to the park.
The park happened to be on my way home, so we ended up having a lovely conversation about dogs and their funny little ways.
It was one of those encounters that stayed with me.
Finding my way back
After 16 years in England, I returned permanently to Slovakia in 2020.
I came home with a suitcase full of wonderful experiences — and a qualification as a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist (BCST) from the three-year Craniosacral Therapy Educational Trust.
My connection with animals has continued to be an important part of my life.
Today, I work with horses in a beautiful part of Switzerland called Mariastein.
Of course, life may take me somewhere else one day. But for now, this is where I feel I am meant to be.
And perhaps that is something animals have taught me over the years: sometimes, we don’t need to know exactly where the journey is taking us.
Sometimes, we simply need to listen.

1. What would you like to understand about your animal?
Before our first session, I’ll spend some time connecting with your animal. You can send me a photograph, their name, a brief description of what you’d like to explore, and any 3 main questions you may have.
During our session, we can explore your animal’s personality and nature, their favourite things, how they experience their relationship with you, and how they feel in their body.
⸻
2. What would you like to ask your animal?
For the subsequent sessions, you can bring your own questions to our Zoom session. We can explore the things you’ve always wondered about, concerns you may have, or simply anything you’d like to understand better about your animal.
I also invite the animal to share what they would like their human to know.
⸻
3. What might help you understand your animal in a different way?
At the end of our session, I’ll share my reflections and recommendations based on what I’ve experienced during our communication.
After our Zoom call, you’ll also receive my notes, so you can return to them whenever you need to.
If something in this story resonates with you,
perhaps there is a reason you found your way here.
If you would like to explore animal communication with your own animal,
I would be very happy to hear from you.
